Da umili origini. Tutto è iniziato con uomini visionari e un'idea, a cui è seguito un disegno in scala 1:20 che mostrava la forma della prima roulotte Adria, l'Adria 375.

Ci vollero due mesi per produrre il primo prototipo presso l'IMV (Industry of Motor Vehicles), il "precursore" dell'Adria Mobil, sotto la direzione di Martin Sever e Jurij Levičnik; il primo esemplare fu costruito per un noto acquirente svedese, Karl Willhelm Karlsson.

Martin Sever, che ha progettato la roulotte, ha percorso personalmente oltre 2.000 chilometri per consegnare l'Adria 375 alla fiera di Stoccolma. "Anche il viaggio più lungo inizia con un singolo passo", come diceva lui.

Per soddisfare i clienti svedesi sono stati apportati numerosi miglioramenti: un migliore isolamento, un telaio più sicuro e un peso ridotto, che fanno ancora parte del DNA di Adria e che hanno dato inizio alla storia pionieristica della leadership di Adria nel mercato svedese, fino a oggi.

Negli anni '70, il marchio Adria iniziò a dettare il ritmo degli altri produttori europei, introducendo i doppi vetri e il riscaldamento ad acqua calda nei suoi modelli più grandi. Ciò catapultò Adria al vertice del caravanning europeo.

La storia di Adria era cominciata sul serio.

as valid or proper. For Adria Mobil, Adria the brand has built a reputation for design, innovation, quality, and functionality. Over 60 years Adria has become synonymous with high standards in design, durability, and performance, making it a trusted name in the industry.

INNOVATIVE

A product or idea featuring new methods; advanced and original. A person introducing new ideas; original and creative in thinking.

For Adria Mobil innovation is a driving force for Adria’s product development since 1965 a path to success based on customer-focused innovation and original solutions, in a competitive market. From caravans, to motorhomes and campervans Adria is synonymous with innovation.

AMBITIOUS

Having or showing a strong desire and determination to succeed. For a plan or piece of work intended to satisfy high aspirations and therefore difficult to achieve. Adria Mobil is an ambitious organisation, with

ambitious people behind Adria’s success, who never accept that something cannot be done. Setting high goals and constant progress is in

our DNA, and in our vision: “To create the most desirable, memorable & sustainable recreational vehicle brands.”

Key moments in time

Adria’s success from the start was undoubtedly due to a sensible selling point ‘’a light and well-equipped caravan at an affordable price’’ combined with an innovative dynamism within the organisation, a spirit which has pervaded its history ever since.

There are many milestones in the Adria story, many key people, events and especially innovative new products, which shaped the brand.

Adria Logo.

The Adria name is synonmous with spending free time on the Adriatic sea, hence the use of the Adria blue, which became most recognized on ‘blue band’ caravans introduced in 1970.

In 1988 designer Marjan Paternoster designed a new logo, the red icon, which became known to many as the ‘snail’. These two elements combined have been part of the Adria logo story ever since.

Adria Chronology.

Many milestones followed the original Adria 375 caravan helped shaped the brand and so many customers’ lives. Here are just a few:

1970

Early generation Adria caravans were white and made of lacquered aluminium but in 1970 the caravans received a blue decorative stripe, at the window level. This became a signature of the Adria brand, a symbol of the Adriatic Sea and blue sky.

1980

Saw a record number of Adria caravans sold, when production at its highest level in the history of the company, at 26,575. Reflecting growing interest in the caravanning holiday lifestyle and in the Adria brand which was pioneering caravan design with new interior solutions and a ‘central services unit’ for all electric devices.

1982

The idea to develop ‘’self-propelled caravans’’ originated in the late 1960’s with the registration of the name ‘Adriatik’. The very first motorhome prototypes Adriatik 420 and 450 were developed in 1982, on Renault chassis. These paved the way for the successful Adria motorhome program, through to today.

1995

Adria’s 30th Jubilee introduced the fifth generation of caravans, Unica, a watershed moment for Adria design. First steps were also taken to enter the emerging campervan market. The following year saw Danilo Plesnicar handover as General Manager to Sonja Gole, who steered the company through many challenges to ever greater success, through to 2024.

2005

Following an impressive period of rebirth in the ‘90’s which formed foundations for today’s Adria brand; a new state of the art factory at Novo mesto opened, bringing the latest in world-class manufacturing techniques. Adria’s 40th Jubilee celebrated with the new Action caravan and first integrated motorhome, Vision.

2009

Despite economic crises, Adria completed its investment cycle with new motorhome models – Matrix crossover and Coral Supreme added to the recently launched Polaris, on Mercedes-Benz. Also, a budget-friendly caravan Aviva for families, and new all-seasons Alpina which became very popular in Scandinavia.

2015

By the mid 2000’s Adria now well-recognized as being design-led and innovative, with a portfolio of sector-leading models: Alpina, Adora and Altea caravans; Sonic, Coral and Matrix motorhomes; Twin campervans. Adria celebrated its 50th Jubilee with the aptly named Silver Collection – special edition Matrix, Twin, Adora and Altea.

2019

Adria was one of the first brands into van conversions in the 1990’s. In 2005 the Twin name was introduced, becoming on one of the most recognized and best-sellers. In 2019, the new generation Twin Supreme, pioneered design breakthroughs to win the European Innovation Award; and shaping campervan trends including pop-tops such as Twin Sports, launched two years later.

2025

Fast-forward to today, with Adria Mobil successfully operating since 2017 as part of the Trigano Group, Adria brand celebrates its 60th anniversary with Adria 60 Year Selection; An all-new Action caravan, 20 years after the original; a new Adora caravan, with fresh style and comfort; a new Astella and the first Adria campervan built on Mercedes-Benz with 4x4 performance and All-Wheel-Drive, the new Supertwin.

Adria 60 Year Selection

Adria has been inspiring adventures since 1965 and this continues today with the Adria 60th anniversary selection. Special edition models with extra specification and value, in popular layouts of Matrix, Coral and Compact motorhomes; Twin and Twin Sports campervans and Altea caravans. Featuring special Adria 60th anniversary graphics, textiles and embroidery, and nice touches such as an Adria branded wooden chopping board.
